Juan Carlos de la Llera Martin

Juan Carlos is a civil engineer from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), with a M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at UC Berkeley. Currently, he is the Dean of the School of Engineering UC and co-founder of SIRVE, a company that designs, produces, and implements mechanisms that protect structures against damages caused by earthquakes.

The contribution of dean de la Llera through seismic technology in buildings, public works and housing, has been a model for a whole generation of engineers and businessmen that has witnessed how innovation can make the world a safer place.
