Structural dynamics and modelling, vibration reduction systems, kinematics and dynamics of mechanisms, are parts of the researches that I traditionally carry out. Nowadays my research interests are framed into four main areas: geophysical rupture models, characterization of scenarios, synthetic ground movements, as well as the fragility of the housing, buildings, networks, and hospitals systems. My researches also focus on interactions models of human structure under extreme load conditions, and the behavior of human agents in extreme environmental conditions led by psychology.
I am working on these subjects under my affiliation to the National Research Center for Integrated Natural Disasters Management (CIGIDEN), led by PUC.
